About Us

RUGBY RENEGADE EXPLAINED

Rugby Renegade is a Strength and Conditioning programme that is designed to assist rugby players in preparing for on-field performance. Established in 2014 our clear and simple objective was to make the systems and training methods used by professional teams available to rugby athletes at all levels.

Our team of experienced S & C Coaches and Sports Physiotherapists have been involved at the highest level within Professional Rugby for over 20 years and we want to allow every player to become the very best player they can be.

Our resources and products have been designed to cut through the noise and the confusion that surrounds training for rugby and is built on simple yet effective and efficient training principles that allow you to get the most from every session you complete.

JAMIE BAIN – HEAD OF STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Jamie has an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from Middlesex university. He has 11 years experience in Professional Rugby including 6 in the Aviva Premiership with Gloucester and Worcester, specialising in strength and power development as well as previously working with England Under 20’s. He is currently consulting with various teams, organisations and private rehab clients.

ROB PARKINSON – PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Rob has worked as a consultant rehab physiotherapist with the England Rugby Union senior mens team, Senior physiotherapist with England Rugby League as well as Head of Medical Services at the Catalan Dragons rugby league team, Senior first team physiotherapist with Gloucester RUFC and in rugby League’s Super League with Hull Kingston Rovers and Leeds Rhinos.

Rob is also a certified Performance coach and has completed a post graduate diploma (PGDip) in Sports and Exercise medicine from The University of Leeds and holds degrees in Physiotherapy from the University of Nottingham and Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield.
